Cute or Cool?

Brother - "Bugs is the cutest in our family."
Mommy - "You're pretty cute too."
Brother - "NO"
Mommy - "You're not cute?"
Brother - "No, I am cool."

Making New Friends

Brother - "On the first day of Kindergarten, I thought that I would miss Bugs, but I didn't."

Mommy - "You must have had fun playing with all of the kids."

Brother - "On the second day, I didn't have any friends. On the third day I became friends with Korbin."

Mommy - "Was Korbin your first friend?"

Brother - "Yea, and then it was Hunter, Matthew, Ben, Issac. On the sixth day it was Edward."

Special Treat...Or Not...

Don't you think that you would look a little happier if you were eating a much cherished and special treat as a wet, gooey, sticky mess sucker?

Crib Or Toy Box?

Bugs has always slept with her "special" blanket. She received it as a baby and has latched on to it ever since. Fast forward to Christmas where she received two Carebears that she loved. They had to sleep with her every night as well. She found her old Glowworm and had to sleep with that as well as Elmo, which she inherited from Brother. She had to sleep with her new bear that she got for Valentine's day and her duck from Easter. Now don't forget that the items that are being placed in the crib are not coming out without a "terrible two tantrum"...

A few weeks ago when grandma was over watching the kids, she put Bugs down for a nap. When I got home and took her out of her crib, I noticed a new addition. One of her books was laying beside her. I guess she has to read herself to sleep now (thanks grandma!).

Brother's Birthday Party

I found a lost post! I had uploaded these pictures so that I could come back later and write about them, and then I forgot! What a bad mommy I am... Oh well...

Anyways, here are the pictures of Brother's birthday party. He picked the Military theme and it was pretty fun. We have a good friend that works at a nearby military base and he was able to bring over an "official" military vehicle for the kids to look at (and hopefully learn something from).

Brother trying on the helmet.
I don't think that Bugs was as excited as Brother was. Must be a boy thing...
Brother with "Sargent Chad"
Sargent Chad kicked off the "Top Secret Mission" / scavenger hunt by passing out everyone's dog tags and giving them their first clue. Each clue led to a different clue until they received something that would help them with their mission to "capture the enemy flag". They received helpful things such as helmets-for their safety, compass-to guide them, and so on. Before one of the "Sargent's" would give them their next clue, she made them "give her 20!" The kids really wanted that clue she was holding!
Looked like the clue paid off! Overall, I think the game was a success as it looked like the kids had fun.

Brother with his camouflage star cake. Doesn't look too shabby if I must say so myself. However, I cannot take any credit in decorating it. It was done by Daddy and two of his cousins. By the time we were decorating it the night before, I was extremely tired and told them to do whatever they wanted. I of course gave them some tips, but they didn't listen to me at all. I guess they may have been right...

Happy Birthday Brother!

Hot Air?

In the car on the way home (isn't this where all of the good stuff happens?):

Brother, while blowing into a bag - "Look mom, I am filling up this bag with air!"
Mommy - "It is sure getting big."
Brother - "Yea, I have a lot of extra air since I was outside a lot today."

Brother's New Trick

In the car on the way home yesterday:

Brother - "I can talk and say stuff without any sound."
Mommy - "You mean by using your hands, like sign language?"
I was thinking that he was learning something new in school...
Brother - "No, without my hands. Watch."

Silence...Silence...

Brother - "See!"
Mommy - "Wow, I didn't hear anything!"
Brother - "I was saying, LOOK OUT FOR THAT BIG TREE OVER THERE! Now I will do it with my mouth closed!"

This new trick could come in handy...
